History/社会科学 Mission Statement
The mission of 历史上 Office is to provide curriculum, 评估, 训练, professional development and resources to history educators in 菠菜网lol正规平台 in order to serve students, 父母, families and the community. History educators provide all students with access to rigorous course work when asking students to actively participate in collaborative, inquiry-based history lessons and projects. 学生 engage in critical thinking, 以及, understand the major themes, patterns of human interaction, 概念, 重大事件, 转折点, and people shaping history.
History/社会科学 Vision Statement
History education prepares students for college and careers through the application of historical thinking and literacy skills, aligned to 历史上-社会科学 内容标准 for California Public 学校 and the Common Core State Standards for Literacy in History/社会 Studies, 科学, and Technical Subjects (CCSS).

We acknowledge that we are on land that has been inhabited, 持续的, and cared for by the Tongva (Gabrielino) and Acjachemen (Juaneno) peoples since time immemorial. 此外, we appreciate that their cultures, traditions and languages continue to thrive here, along with their ongoing struggles to protect their sacred sites. It is with this understanding that we, 历史上, 社会科学, and 民族研究 office endeavor to provide curricula that reflects the histories, joys and resilience of Indigenous peoples, along with other marginalized groups.
